Tom and Jerry - Solid Serenade 1946

It always bothered me to see Tom and/or Jerry speak. The artistry of animated and musical storytelling was the root of it’s brilliance. I do however have fond memories of this particular episode, set to Louis Jordan’s “Is you is, or is you ain’t (my baby)”, a tribute to The Jump & Jive Era of the Hep or Hip Cats.

That tunnel sure held us up.

This is only funny to me because it happened to me in LA. I had a palm tree land on my truck. The city pays handsomely for this kind of ordeal. Swiftly and quietly.
