The 2011 Nike Mag shoe won’t have power laces, but a pinch of the shoe will trigger LEDs light to turn on. 1,500 pairs are only available through Ebay. The auction ends on September 18. All proceeds will be donated to the Michael J. Fox Foundation.

Less than ideal circumstances brought my family together for a pretty ideal road trip to Tijuana a few weekends ago.

When is the last time you took a road trip with your family? Cramped together in the backseat, taking turns making fun of each sibling. Mom and dad navigate up front telling you to “pipe down back there”. And if you’re good, they’ll pull over and buy you Gansito’s, the Mexican equivalence of Hostess.

A quick video from This Weekend’s Berkeley Kite Festival. This is a Rokaku Kite Fight, where the goal is to knock your opponents kites out of the sky, either by making the kite crash of cutting their line.
