Tom and Jerry – Solid Serenade 1946

It always bothered me to see Tom and/or Jerry speak. The artistry of animated and musical storytelling was the root of it’s brilliance. I do however have fond memories of this particular episode, set to Louis Jordan’s “Is you is, or is you ain’t (my baby)”, a tribute to The Jump & Jive Era of the Hep or Hip Cats.

    that is a BRILLIANT episode!

    the scene in “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” where John Candy is singing along to “Mess Around” always reminded me of Tom playing the bass.

    Tom and jerry are one of the most watched carton till to-date. Well i love seeing them. I have grown up watching them and i see that they will be here for a very long time.
