Pillow Fight Club LA Aftermath

More LA guerrilla art. Pillow Fight Club LA was a bust this year. Initially, the event was intended to take place at the Grove on Fairfax and 3rd Street. However, word of mouth was perhaps TOO good (damn you Twitter), as security was placed on every floor of the parking structure, turning away people with pillows and PJs.

Word of mouth was NOT quick enough (damn you Twitter) to notify the masses the the event had been moved to “Not a Cornfield” park in downtown LA. Here’s what happened when I arrived on the scene… with camera rolling.

Our Friendly Ranger ended up being Rather Cool about the whole thing. Meanwhile, back at the Grove:

Yeah the planning for this thing was totally messed-up... when and where are they gonna do another? Why not try a beach? A parking structure late at night? Why isn't there some kinda Myspace profile/mailing list that they can use to update people more secretly? (and not just some website where, say, ANY Grove security guard can get the info from?)

Ranger Bob I think secretly wanted to play with us, but alas, he was too afraid of the mighty pillow, and he cowtowed to the man.

    Bad Ranger Bob Bad!!!
