The reason for shunning Heroes is a bit obvious. At least, I like to think I’m not alone in my reasoning here. Here’s the TV business model. The goal of the game, is to create a show that excites 4 different species in descending order or importance;

Hmmm, I like the unpredictability of Lost. Heroes on the other hand is bland, yet I still force myself to watch it. Probly cuz its my only monday night entertainment. all in all I agree yet disagree with Mao….oh sorry wrong Mau.

I’m with Mau on this one, but I also noticed that they are banking on the gullibility of the audience to keep the mystery alive. Like Lost has been changing it story arc over and over to keep it going, even the writers don’t have an idea what they are doing anymore (btw, this is coming from someone who really met with them, been in the industry as well). Aren’t the writers for Lost and Heroes the same?

And as for soap operas, I grew thinking of them as bad in general, so I won’t say much other then that.

yeah, like I said about the seasonal mystery arc… worked well for housewives… until season 2 started. Heroes, like Lost, will not resolve the big picture this season.

You said it yourself – these are soap operas! Only they’re on when we’re home and can actually watch, and they have much better lighting. Better acting too, most of the time. It’s brilliant!

As for the mystery arc, these mysteries arc over the season, not over the episode – so it still works! Although, it is riskier since if the mystery blows, so does the whole season…

I bet you were the one who told the kiddies that Santa Claus was a fake. Pooper.
