The great thing about working with other geeks, is geeking out with them. Geeks exist to geek out. If you can’t geek out loud, what’s the point, really? It’s the code of the geek.

Steve Jobs keynote address is mac geek Mecca, and those not invited to the spiritual event (animated here), vicariously live it thru live blog updates. Pictured below, the office kids had two browsers running two separate live keynote blogs and a second laptop instant messaging with an apple employee who was actually watching the live fee on Tuesday morning.

Hoots, hollers, and clapping were not only encouraged, but mandatory. It’s a thrill to get exited over something we know millions of others are getting excited over as well. So much so, we watched apple stock go up, and RIM, Motorola, and Treo stock go down… DURING the keynote. We even had an office pool going, betting on the shipping price.

I really wanted 499 (because I mean, come on… 501??… thanks for nothing Avital.) The irony was that the two people that didn’t have gadget fever, won the coveted breakfast burritos. It was a great day Mr. Jobs. Thanks for the geek adrenaline rush.

…  and…. back to reality.
